Content management tools, such as Content Editor and the many content specific form modules, serve as the primary means of site and portal management. To complement this core set of web tools, WebWriter CMS includes a very rich and powerful set of design and administrative tools. Whether adjustments are needed to the fundamental structure of the portal or simply the addition of a pagelet to a page, the tools described below will help you to easily make your changes.
Portal Design - Manage your portal or site design through an easy-to-use web page. Change the layout of the portal by altering the order of the pages, their parent/child page relationships, flagging some to be hidden or link a page to another on this site or externally.
Tab Settings - Drilling down through portal design to a specific tab to create or adjust tab design. Update tab name, change parent tab, replace the tab with a link to another internal or external page or adjust tab security settings. In Tab Design, additional modules with specific module types may be inserted into the tab. Flag whether this tab permits global modules from being display or adjust the layout of existing modules in the various panes.
Module Settings - From Tab Design, drill down to a particular module. On the Module Settings page, a module name can be updated, module view and edit security roles can be adjusted, and the module can be set as global so that it may appear on all tabs.
