WebWriter CMS 5.0 Beta Testing - 18 January 2003
Version 5.0b is now in beta testing with a few select customers. Testing is going well. This new version of WebWriter CMS will be released March 1 for general subscription. Current customers who wish to upgrade will be offered special discounts to move up to WebWriter CMS 5.0.

WebWriter CMS 5.0 Alpha Testing - 30 Nov 2002
Internal testing looks promising. While we have identified features of the application that we need to redesign and rebuild, the core of version 5.0a is solid. We will be seeking customers to beta test WebWriter CMS 5.0b within the next few weeks.

WebWriter CMS 5.0 Design - 8 May 2002
The next major version upgrade of WebWriter CMS will be created from the ground up. We will leverage Microsoft's new .NET framework to utilize components and controls that will effectively work together. Version 5.0 will be significantly more modular permitting customers to have a very granular approach to information display and access. WebWriter CMS 5.0 is expected to be release in ealry 2003.

WebWriter CMS 4.5a - Updated: 18 Dec 2001
Enhancements to Global Settings and Account Status. Display Page Title - checkbox added to select whether to display the website title in the header at the top of all pages. Database Version - replaced hardcoding with real-time interogation of SQL Server for version information. Session Login - added this session login date/time.

WebWriter CMS 4.1 on SQL Server - Release date: 27 Jan 2001
WebWriter is now entirely driven by MS SQL Server. SQL Server provides high performance, scalable solutions for dynamically driven websites like those of our clients' WebWriter sites. The conversion of WebWriter's database to SQL Server is also done in prepration for our adding features, e.g., eNewsletter distribution and Shopping Cart like service, that required the reliable environment that SQL Server provides.
